Job summary

MercyOne Health System in Iowa is hiring a Clinic RN for the MercyOne Waterloo Heart Care Clinic to deliver outpatient patient care using nursing processes and evidence-based practices.

You will coordinate care with physicians and staff, educate patients and families, document in the EMR, and support continuous quality improvement.

The schedule is Full time, Day shift, 8:30a-5:00p, with no weekends or holidays, and you must hold an Iowa RN license and BLS.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Iowa; compact license acceptable where applicable.
• BLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Proof of Mandatory Reporter abuse training within 3 months of hire.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (Windows, email, MS Office).
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English; collaborative team player.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient patient care using nursing processes (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Coordinate care with physicians, staff, patients, and families.
• Educate patients and families on treatments, tests, discharge, and health maintenance.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation of assessments, treatments, and education.
• Participate in staff meetings, quality improvement, and risk management.
