Job summary

Bronson Hand & Elbow Surgery Specialist in Kalamazoo is seeking a Practice Support Assistant (Clinic Receptionist) to support the clinic from 8:00-4:30, Monday through Friday. The role involves phone scheduling, basic clerical tasks, and assisting with patient registration and billing processes.

Responsibilities include answering calls, scheduling, entering charges, maintaining records, and ensuring accurate patient information is captured in the practice management system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–6 months of related experience preferred.
• Experience with medical insurance is highly preferred.
• Strong keyboarding and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and schedule appointments.
• Direct calls and route messages to appropriate staff.
• Enter charges and payments into MISYS/Tiger system.
• Prepare encounter forms and ensure correct codes are used.
• Maintain patient records and confidentiality.
• Print daily schedules and run reports.
