Qualifications

  • Experience with medical insurance is highly preferred.
  • Proficient keyboarding and computer skills; accurate filing and strong communication.
  • Experience with hospital-based practice management systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Register patients and confirm demographic and insurance information.
  • Enter charges/payments into MISYS/Tiger or similar system.
  • Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, tests, and referrals.
  • Answer phones, route calls, and provide information per service standards.
  • Maintain patient records and confidentiality; handle light clerical duties.
  • Prepare and proofread standard letters and reports.
  • Maintain a clean work area and stock supplies.
  • Establish effective working relationships within the organization.
