Job summary

The Little Clinic is hiring a Patient Care Technician to support clinic operations and patient flow under supervision of the on-duty NP/PA. You will perform administrative tasks, EHR documentation, and ensure a stellar patient experience in a retail healthcare setting.

You will greet patients, assist with registration, take vital signs, enter history in the EHR, collect payments, and help maintain a safe, survey-ready environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Strong administrative, communication, and organizational abilities.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
• Excellent customer service and time-management skills.
• Experience in retail, customer service, or healthcare is a plus.
• Infection control knowledge is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining a safe, survey-ready healthcare environment per Joint Commission standards.
• Greet customers and potential patients in front area or near the clinic.
• Clean and organize clinic space daily and manage supplies and disposal.
• Handle registration, patient identity verification, and scheduling logistics.
• Manage payments and log in the EHR; collect insurance details as applicable.
• Enter patient history and vital signs into the EHR; assist with exams as directed.
• Guide waiting patients on registration, wait times, and available services.
• Answer phones, respond to questions, and perform daily patient follow-up calls.
• Prepare supplies for provider; travel to designated clinics when floated.
• Follow HIPAA guidelines in all front-desk interactions.
