You will welcome patients, handle scheduling, verify insurance, collect payments, and maintain HIPAA‑compliant records while assisting the Physical Therapist with treatments and equipment setup. A professional, service‑minded attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the proven ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with computer systems, including EMR/EHR software and standard office programs (Microsoft Office).
• Ability to stand for extended periods and the physical capability to assist in lifting or moving patients and equipment (up to 50 pounds).
• A compassionate, energetic, and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, check in/out, and manage a multi-line phone system.
• Schedule management and appointment coordination.
• Verify insurance and obtain pre-authorizations for treatment.
• Collect co-pays and balances and maintain patient financial records.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant patient files and forms.
• Process new patient intake forms and required paperwork.
• Assist the Physical Therapist with patient care tasks under supervision.
• Set up and prepare treatment areas and equipment.
• Apply basic modalities as directed by the therapist.
• Monitor patients during prescribed exercises and report changes.
• Assist patients with transfers and mobility.
• Maintain cleanliness and inventory of clinic and equipment.
