Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's WellMed division seeks an operations administrator to lead clinic-wide operations, ensuring objectives are met and staff are supervised effectively.

You will support the Medical Director in budgeting, service development, and staff development while promoting cost-efficient, high-quality care in a collaborative environment. The role emphasizes compliance and cross-functional coordination across clinical and administrative teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of healthcare administration experience with supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of fiscal management systems and HR practices.
• Familiarity with governmental regulations and reimbursement standards.
• Ability to analyze data and prepare reports.
• Proven ability to supervise staff and develop relationships with stakeholders.
• Tuberculosis screening and immunity verification required.

Responsibilities

• Directs, supervises, coordinates clinic functions including HR, policies, and support services.
• Assists Medical Director in developing and marketing new services and referrals.
• Manages employment, development and performance of staff.
• Promotes cost-effective, high-quality patient care.
• Ensures compliance with standards and regulations with medical and admin staff.
• Reviews policies and participates in budgeting with Medical Director.
• Represents the clinic at meetings and in PR programs.
• Maintains professional affiliations and keeps up with health care administration trends.
