Job summary

WellMed, part of the Optum family, seeks an experienced healthcare administrator to lead clinic operations in the Fort Worth area. The role focuses on directing staff, budgets, and policy compliance to achieve high-quality patient care.

You will collaborate with the Medical Director on new services, market growth, and staff development, while representing the clinic at professional meetings and enhancing public relations efforts.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of healthcare administration experience, including supervision.
• Computer literacy across common office and health admin software.
• Knowledge of healthcare administration, clinic policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of fiscal management systems and budgets.
• Knowledge of human resource management practices including supervision.
• Knowledge of governmental regulations and reimbursement standards.
• Knowledge of computer programs and applications used in clinics.
• Proven initiative, judgment, problem solving and decision making.
• Proven ability to build relationships with staff, management, patients, vendors and payers.
• Proven ability to organize work to meet clinic goals and objectives.
• Proven ability to analyze and interpret complex data and prepare reports.
• TB screening and immunity verification requirements must be met.

Responsibilities

• Directs, supervises, coordinates clinic operations and staff.
• Assists Medical Director in development and marketing of new services and referrals.
• Facilitates employment, development and management of employees.
• Promotes provision of cost-effective, high-quality health care services to patients.
• Ensures compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
• Reviews operational problems and policies and recommends changes.
• Collaborates with Medical Director on quarterly budgets and funding.
• Represents clinic at public and professional meetings and conferences.
• Participates in clinic communications and public relations programs.
• Maintains professional affiliations and development to keep pace with trends.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
