Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis seeks a capable leader to direct the clinical activities of the office, supervising clerical staff, medical assistants, and nurses in collaboration with the physicians of the practice.

The role oversees personnel matters, payroll processing, scheduling, front-desk operations, and policy development, acting as a liaison between the office, WUSTL, and the BJH hospital system to ensure smooth clinical workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education.
• Physician Practice Management experience (2 Years) or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates and implements operations of the practice including development and maintenance of efficient procedures and oversees administrative and clinical operations.
• Interacts and collaborates with clinicians to provide direction and oversight of schedules and workflows.
• Reviews clinician and staff productivity and metrics, including appointment, referral, and billing data.
• Supervises the management of personnel, maintains records, makes hiring recommendations, evaluations, counseling, and terminations.
