Job summary

You will greet patients, collect co-pays, assist providers, and maintain accurate records in the EMR. This position emphasizes teamwork, privacy, and efficient patient flow in a busy clinic setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months experience as Medical Assistant or Patient Care Tech.
• Preferred CMA or RMA certification; EMR experience and office billing knowledge.
• Basic Life Support within 6 months for Rural Health clinics.
• Float positions may require travel between clinics.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and provide excellent customer service on arrival and by phone.
• Register patients, verify insurance and collect co-pays/deductibles at visit.
• Assist provider with examinations, take vitals and perform basic procedures as directed.
• Document interventions, medications and vital signs in the chart or EMR.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and prepare exam rooms and supplies.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to infection control guidelines.
