Job summary

McLaren Health Care’s Clarkston Medical Group seeks a dedicated Medical Assistant / Receptionist to support patient care and clinic operations. You will greet patients, register and schedule, collect payments, and assist providers with vitals, injections, venipuncture, and procedures.

EMR proficiency and team collaboration are essential in a fast-paced primary care setting. Full-time schedule, 8:00am-5:00pm, with emphasis on patient service, accuracy in charting, and adherence to infection

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 6 months medical assisting experience.
• Alternative completion of MA/EMT/Nurse Assistant/LPN or patient care technician programs.
• For Rural Health clinics, BLS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and handle phone calls with courtesy and accuracy.
• Register patients, schedule appointments, and collect co-pays/deductibles.
• Document interventions, vitals, meds and tests in patient charts.
• Administer injections, venipuncture, EKGs, and related procedures as directed.
• Assist providers with exams and routine procedures in clinic settings.
• Maintain confidentiality and infection control standards.
