Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required with at least 6 months of medical assistant experience.
• Completion of an accredited medical assistant, EMT, nurse assistant, LPN, or armed services medic program is required.
• BLS certification within 6 months for Rural Health Designation clinics.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and assist in a variety of medical procedures and tests.
• Greet patients, answer phones and direct callers as appropriate.
• Register patients, schedule appointments, and collect insurance co-pays/deductibles.
• Verify insurance and record financial activity for each shift.
