Status: Part-time, Benefit-Eligible

Average Hours per pay period: 64 hours every 2 weeks

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

The Clinic Medical Assistant is responsible for providing basic nursing care to patients under the direction of the provider and/or licensed nurse. They must be able to handle emergency situations and provide optimal service to patients, providers, and clinic sites. They perform a variety of patient care activities and services as directed by the provider according to established procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant required.
• Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
• Experience in Ambulatory Clinics preferred.
• DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.
• Proficiency in personal computer use and clerical/business office functions.
• Responsible, proactive, and team-oriented.
• Effective communication skills, tact, discretion, and diplomacy.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt flexibly.
• Maintain Standards of Conduct and proper communication channels.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
