Job Description

The Clinic Medical Assistant is responsible for providing basic nursing care to patients under the direction of the provider and/or licensed nurse. They must be able to handle emergency situations and provide optimal service to patients, providers, and clinic sites. Responsibilities include performing a variety of patient care activities and accommodative services as directed by the provider according to established procedures.

Qualifications

Professional/Educational

• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant required.
• Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
• Experience in ambulatory clinics preferred.
• DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.

Personal Skills

• Computer knowledge and clerical/business office skills.
• Sense of responsibility, initiative, and teamwork.
• Effective communication, tact, discretion, and diplomacy.
• Ability to work under pressure and flexibility.
• Maintain Standards of Conduct and proper communication channels.

Employment Details

Status: Part-time, Benefit-Eligible

Average Hours per pay period: 64 hours every 2 weeks

Additional Information

Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
