Job summary

Beloit Health System seeks Clinic Receptionists for NorthPointe Clinic Registration to greet patients, manage check-ins, scheduling, and payments. The role requires accurate data entry, insurance verification, and courteous patient interactions in a fast-paced clinic environment.

The receptionist will handle appointment scheduling, check-out, and follow-up, while supporting front-desk operations and adherence to privacy guidelines. The position includes Saturday rotation as needed.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Medical terminology and/or clinic reception experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational, verbal communication and interpersonal relation skills to be utilized with patients, public, and staff.
• Ability to work with a diverse patient population
• Ability to read, write, add, subtract and alphabetize. Computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming phone lines promptly and courteously.
• Check in patients, verify demographics, insurance, copayments, and update records.
• Process patient payments and print receipts.
• Schedule and reschedule appointments per physician guidelines.
• Direct patients to correct waiting areas and departments.
• Participate in opening and closing responsibilities with Saturday rotation by schedule.
• Maintain patient data in the system and update as needed.
• Inform patients about schedule changes and delays from nurses.
• Assist with billing inquiries and referrals to appropriate departments.
• Maintain confidentiality and organize desk for next day operations.
