Job summary

Trinity Health MercyOne Health System is seeking a Clinic Receptionist to greet patients and manage front desk operations in the Iowa clinic. You will handle check-in, appointment scheduling, and insurance verification while maintaining a courteous, professional demeanor throughout patient interactions.

Responsibilities include collecting copays and deductibles, entering patient data into the EMR, and coordinating with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three months of hire.
• Mandatory Reporter abuse training within three months of hire.
• Ability to read, write and understand English; communicate effectively with patients and staff.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Professional, honest and caring demeanor aligned with Trinity Health values.

Responsibilities

• Check-in patients and manage admitting process per clinic policies.
• Answer and route phone calls to appropriate staff.
• Schedule appointments according to office guidelines.
• Obtain accurate patient and insurance information; collect copays and deductibles.
• Scan/copy patient documents into the electronic medical record (EMR).
