Job summary

Trinity Health MercyOne Health System is seeking a Clinic Receptionist to greet patients, check them in, and manage front-desk tasks with professionalism and empathy. You will schedule appointments, verify insurance eligibility, collect co-pays, and enter demographics and registration data into the EHR.

You will answer calls, support patient flow, maintain confidentiality, and uphold our mission and values in every interaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three months of hire.
• Ability to read, write and understand English; communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and check in at visit, ensuring efficient admitting workflows.
• Answer phone calls and direct them appropriately.
• Schedule appointments according to office guidelines.
• Obtain accurate patient and insurance information and collect copays and deductibles.
• Scan and upload patient documents into the EHR system.
