Job summary

Granite Construction Incorporated is seeking a customer-focused professional in California to manage orders and pricing, ensuring on-time dispatch and strong client relationships within our Materials team. This role emphasizes accuracy, proactive communication, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

You will collaborate with Operations and Sales to recapture lost opportunities, provide quotes, and support our list-price customers across asphalt operations.

Qualifications

• MS Office intermediate to high level required.
• Bilingual (Spanish Preferred).
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.

Responsibilities

• Manage call in orders to ensure calls are answered timely.
• Set up orders and dispatch material sales based upon customer demand.
• Recapture lost sales through on-time submittals, scheduling efforts, and customer relationships after “bid day.”
• Recapture lost customers through outreach efforts, in coordination with sales team, to ensure list price customers receive “best in industry” customer support from the company’s Materials team.
• Provide customer service as required for credit card charges, invoice inquiries, ticket inquiries, etc.
• Coordinate submittals and other quality documentation to ensure the company is simple and easy to do business with while maintaining our materials quality standards.
• Provide quotes and pricing as appropriate, in coordination with sales team, to serve existing customers and potential leads.
• Collaborate with Operations staff to ensure order confirmation and effective scheduling.
