Job summary

Lockton in Atlanta, GA is seeking an Account Manager to be the primary service contact for an assigned book of business, building strong relationships with clients and carriers supporting Private Equity. You will manage client launches, routine service, and meetings; review agreements; explain new benefit offerings; and develop proposals for prospective clients.

Requires a Bachelor's degree and insurance experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience in insurance.
• At least 3 years’ experience in the insurance industry, specifically in D&O, Cyber, or Management Liability.
• Demonstrated professional, tactful negotiation and persuasion skills to achieve objectives.
• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access) or similar software applications.
• Demonstrated presentation skills including preparation and execution.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to develop sound relationships with multiple clients.
• Ability to interact with vendors effectively and understand client financial arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary service contact for an assigned book of business and develop strong relationships with clients and carriers supporting Private Equity.
• Implement new client launches including carrier involvement, communications campaign, employee correspondence, and adherence to timelines.
• Coordinate routine service, development of service schedules, and client meetings.
• Meet with clients alone or with Account Executive or Unit Leader according to schedules.
• Conduct all marketing efforts as assigned by the unit.
• Review agreements and documents such as employee booklets and carrier contracts.
• Explain new benefit offerings and communication strategies to existing clients.
• Develop prospective client proposals.
