Job summary

Sotheby’s is seeking a Client Strategy professional in New York to develop and implement strategies around existing clients and to generate commercial opportunities. The role supports cross-functional teams and relies on strong Excel skills to extract and manipulate data for strategic plans.

The ideal candidate will have a BA/BS, at least 3 years of related experience (art market preferred), and proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree required in a relevant field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a relevant or related role; art market experience is preferred but not required.
Excellent analytical, research, and interpersonal skills with an interest in developing commercial and strategic capabilities.
Strong proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint and ability to work with large data sets.

Responsibilities

Support Client Strategists with research on prospective clients and opportunities and bring awareness of advisory business to specialist teams.
Assist with strategic sale-related support, including tailored pre-sale targeting with digital and AI tools.
Partner with Client Strategists to conduct research for top client reviews and regional meetings.
Monitor and share event, travel, and visit opportunities to support client strategies.
Prepare data for client reviews, identify gaps and opportunities in portfolios.
Create PowerPoint presentations and briefs; ensure data accuracy in CRM.
