Job summary

SGS Dayton, NJ is seeking a Project Manager Assistant for a hybrid onsite role (up to 3 days on-site). You will support the Client Services Team, processing sample orders, change orders, login checks in LIMS, and coordinating subcontracting to internal or external labs.

Strong communication and MS Office skills are required. Associates degree or equivalent experience is acceptable; a Bachelor's in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field is preferred with 1–2 years of relevant

Qualifications

• Associates' degree or equivalent industry experience; 0-1 years in sciences or customer service.
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field; 1-2 years experience preferred.
• Exceptional communication skills; self-starter; strong English; math & reasoning; attention to detail; critical thinking; MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Process sample orders for all matrices and coordinates delivery and pickup of sampling supplies and samples.
• Execute change orders based on client instructions to modify specifications on the chain of custody.
• Review login information in LIMS and request corrections as needed.
• Inform clients of sample receipt anomalies and provide technical support for resolution.
• Assist in processing subcontract requests to internal and external labs for testing not offered within home lab.
• Manage subcontracting data to ensure timely delivery of analytical reports to clients.
• Handle overflow calls and assist clients with sampling, reporting, billing, etc.
