Job summary

City National Bank seeks a Lead Account Officer to oversee client and operations workflow within the Commercial, Specialty or Corporate Banking divisions. You will supervise Account Officers, ensure high-quality client service, and manage risk while supporting Relationship Managers in business development and portfolio management.

In this role you will monitor daily risk reports, enforce bank policies, and implement improved processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in client service, banking operations or relationship management support required.
• Minimum 2 year lead or supervisory experience

Responsibilities

• Oversees client and operation workflow. Delegates work and assigns Account Officers to Relationship Managers and/or teams.
• Ensures quality client service and escalates exceptions; advises management on issues affecting client relations.
• Oversees deposit account activities including overdraft reviews, ACH limits and wire transfer approvals.
• Resolves complaints and prevents loss of key relationships with appropriate actions.
• Participates in cross-sell or new business development with Relationship Managers.
• Reviews risk management reports daily and ensures proper documentation of exceptions.
• Ensures compliance with City National Bank policies and regulations; implements new processes to improve workflow.
• Monitors performance and conducts effective performance appraisals; trains and counsels staff.
