Job summary

VCA SylvaniaVET Animal Hospital in Sylvania, OH is seeking an experienced Client Service Representative to join our team. This is a full-time, on-site role where you will be the welcoming face for clients and their pets.

The CSR will manage front-desk duties, schedule appointments, process payments, explain services, and support our mission of providing outstanding pet care and service.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in veterinary reception or customer service.
• Ability to greet clients and manage front-desk operations.
• Comfort explaining fees and processing payments.
• Knowledge of pet care basics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors, answer phones, and guide clients and their pets to exam rooms.
• Schedule and confirm appointments.
• Place outbound follow-up calls and reach out to prospective clients.
• Present and explain fees, including processing payments.
• Recommend and obtain products and services, including prescriptions.
• Answer questions about products/services and educate clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care.
• Manage medical records, charts, reports and correspondence.
• Hospital maintenance and ensuring facility is neat and clean inside and outside.

• This is a fully on-site position. This is not a remote or hybrid opportunity.

We are seeking an experienced Client Service Representative to join our team.

Why We Need You

As the face of VCA, the Client Service Representative sets the tone for the practice as we build and maintain each customer's trust and confidence in our abilities. The CSR is the pivot around which the hospital operates and is responsible for:

• Customer service functions, including: greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms.
• Scheduling and confirming appointments.
• Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients.
• Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments.
• Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions.
• Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control).
• Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence.
• Hospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste) and ensuring that facility is neat and clean at all times—both inside and outside.

Pay starting at: $15.00
