Job summary

Sawtooth Veterinary Services in Jerome, Idaho, is seeking a part-time Customer Service Representative to be the friendly first contact for clients. The role involves greeting clients, scheduling appointments, and ensuring smooth front desk operations. Prior veterinary reception experience is a plus, but not required.

You will handle check-ins/outs, relay concerns to the veterinary team, process payments, and maintain accurate records while contributing to a supportive, animal-loving workplace.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of veterinary receptionist or veterinary assistant experience preferred, but not required
• Warm, professional attitude and genuine love for animals
• Strong communication skills: listen well and explain clearly
• Comfort with computers and basic office software
• The ability to stay organized while juggling multiple things at once
• Prior veterinary or customer service experience is a plus, but not required for the right person

Good to Know

This role is active and hands-on: you'll be on your feet, moving around the reception area, lifting up to 30 lbs regularly (occasionally 50 lbs), and helping weigh and move patients. Because we care for animals that are sometimes scared or in pain, there's occasional exposure to bites, scratches, and other hazards common to a veterinary setting.
