BluePearl Pet Hospital in Skokie, IL is looking for an experienced Part-Time Client Service Coordinator to join our team!

At BluePearl Pet Hospital, our Veterinary Receptionists are vital to our hospital's success. You will be the first BluePearl Associate that clients see, ensuring they receive the care and attention they need. You must be able to function calmly and compassionately, especially in emotionally challenging situations.

Pay Range CSCI-II:

$19.80 - $28.27/hour

*This pay band depends on local veterinary licensing, experience, and advancement through our competency assessment tool.

Schedule:

Part-Time

Responsibilities as a Veterinary Receptionist:
  1. Greet clients warmly and make friendly eye contact upon entry.
  2. Offer a friendly smile, maintain strong eye contact, and have an approachable demeanor.
  3. Be a compassionate listener.
  4. Speak clearly, slowly, and calmly in person and on the phone to ensure clients understand.
  5. Assess each client's needs upon arrival, including the pet's condition.
  6. Determine emergency status (e.g., "stat" vs. "standard") for arrivals.
  7. Respond to non-patient calls or visitors and connect them to the appropriate team member.
  8. Confirm all appointments in advance and provide accurate preparation instructions to clients.
  9. Offer emotional support and resource materials to grieving clients discreetly and compassionately.
  10. Serve as a liaison during pet remains handling, ensuring a complete, accurate, and compassionate process.
