BluePearl Pet Hospital in Skokie, IL is looking for an experienced Part-Time Client Service Coordinator to join our team!

At BluePearl Pet Hospital, our Veterinary Receptionists are vital to the success of our hospital. In this position, you are the first BluePearl Associate that clients see. You will ensure each client receives the care and attention they need. You must be able to function calmly and compassionately in situations that can be very emotional and difficult for clients.

Pay Range CSCI-II: $19.80 - $28.27/hour

*This pay band depends on local veterinary licensing, experience, and advancement through our competency assessment tool.

Schedule: Full-Time

As a Veterinary Receptionist:

  1. You will greet and make friendly eye contact every time our hospital entry door opens to offer warm and professional acknowledgment.
  2. You will always offer a friendly smile, strong eye contact, and an approachable demeanor.
  3. You are a compassionate listener.
  4. You speak clearly, slowly, and calmly in person and on the telephone in a way that clients easily understand.
  5. You will assess immediately upon arrival each client's needs, as well as the pet's general condition.
  6. You will determine whether an emergency arrival is a "stat" versus "standard" emergency.
  7. You will respond to non-patient calls or visitors and connect them to the appropriate team member.
  8. You are responsible for confirming all appointments in advance, ensuring clients receive accurate information about preparing their pet for the appointment.
  9. You will offer emotional support and resource materials to grieving clients in a compassionate and discreet manner.
  10. You serve as a liaison between clients and service agencies during handling of pet remains, ensuring a complete, accurate, and compassionate process.
