Job summary

Truist is seeking a customer‑service oriented Retail Bank Associate in Charlotte, NC to grow client relationships and drive sales while maintaining adherence to policies and risk controls. The role may include teller duties as needed and requires strong communication and basic computer skills.

You will participate in the full sales and service process, assist clients both in person and by phone, and contribute to branch goals through proactive relationship development and service excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education required.
• 2 years of client sales and service experience.
• Experience sourcing and prospecting for new clients and relationship building.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications, e.g., Microsoft Office.
• SAFE compliance within 30 days, including NMLS background check.
• Ability to multi-task under time constraints.
• Willingness to travel for temporary staffing needs and possible weekends/extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Handle routine client maintenance requests, problem resolution and advanced sales functions.
• Contribute to meeting/exceeding client service and branch sales targets by offering suitable products.
• Support team sales by consultative conversations and referring more complex needs to specialists.
• Participate in Retail Community Bank Leadership routines.
• Pursue ongoing knowledge of sales techniques and product knowledge via training.
• Advise on consumer lending options and take loan applications.
• Adhere to internal controls, procedures and regulatory guidelines.
• Greet and assist clients, conduct transactions, and uncover client needs.
