Job summary

Truist in Hopewell, Virginia seeks a Universal Banker to deliver a distinctive client experience, handling complex and standard transactions while uncovering client needs. You will drive basic sales and educate clients on digital banking options in a fast-paced branch environment.

The role requires a high school diploma and 2 years of teller or client service experience, with strong communication and multitasking abilities. Weekend hours and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years teller or cash handling or client service experience.
• Six months of client relationship building or sales experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a desire to interact with clients and prospects.
• Ability to master PC keyboard and software skills for branch automation.
• Ability to multi-task under time constraints.
• Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide a distinctive client experience to ensure a consistent service level by engaging clients with smiling, courteous conversation, and performing transactions.
• Educate clients on digital, self-service solutions including ATMs, Online and Mobile banking.
• Support team sales process by outbound calls and referrals, identifying client needs or opportunities.
• Understand the importance of Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) to deliver Truist expertise and solutions.
• Participate in all components of the Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership routines.
• Advance product knowledge through training and meetings.
• Adhere to internal controls and risk management policies and stay informed on policy changes.
• Serve as secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution, handling branch workload.
