Job summary

The Relationship Banker role at Truist Financial Corporation focuses on delivering an industry-leading client service experience in person and on the phone while building trusted client relationships. You will provide financial solutions and referrals to other specialists to support client goals.

Able to perform teller duties when needed, you’ll engage with customers, meet service and sales targets, and participate in ongoing training to deepen product knowledge and lending options.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• 2 years of client sales and service experience.
• Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients and client relationship building.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a desire to interact with clients and prospects.
• Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office.
• Must be SAFE (Mortgage Licensing Act) compliant within 30 days of employment, including NMLS checks.
• Ability to multi-task under time constraints.
• Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs including locale changes.
• Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours with possible travel and overnights.

Responsibilities

• Exercises advanced proficiency with routine client maintenance requests, problem resolution and advanced sales functions.
• Contributes to meeting or exceeding client service and branch sales targets by offering products and services.
• Supports team sales process by conducting consultative conversations and referring complex needs to internal specialists.
• Participates in all components of the established Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership routines.
• Advances knowledge of sales techniques and product knowledge through training and meetings.
• Advises on consumer lending options and takes loan applications.
• Adheres to internal controls, procedures and risk policies and stays informed of changes.
• Engages clients with courteous conversation while conducting transactions and assisting navigation in the branch.
