Job summary

First Horizon Bank in New York is seeking a full-time teller to support daily cash transactions and provide friendly, accurate service to customers. You will handle cash, process deposits and withdrawals, and help with routine banking tasks in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a high school diploma (or GED) and cash-handling experience. You will balance cash drawers, assist with ATM transactions, and promote bank products while maintaining security and compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required and 6 months of cash handling or teller experience strongly preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle a cash drawer with proper control and follow audit and security policies.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers and loan payments for customers.
• Process miscellaneous transactions (bonds, municipal coupons, money orders, etc.).
• Assist in nightly balancing and processing of ATM transactions, including entries.
• Assist in verification of deposits in the night and lobby depository.
• Assist with dual control vault responsibilities.
• Stay informed of operational updates to ensure compliance with current guidelines.
• Deliver excellent client experiences and resolve client issues promptly.
• Assist clients with select service needs to enhance experience.
• Attend sales, service and product knowledge meetings to improve knowledge.
• Identify cross selling opportunities and refer clients/prospects to the appropriate team.
• Promote bank products and services to strengthen client relationships.
• Comply with bank regulations, policies, risk management, internal controls, and ethics.
