Job summary

Morgan & Morgan, P.A. in Chicago seeks a diligent Case Manager to support attorneys, manage varied caseloads, and prepare settlements and documents. You will interact with clients, organize records, and coordinate with providers under attorney supervision.

The ideal candidate is organized, empathetic, detail oriented, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Remote or hybrid work is not available; full-time benefits include medical/dental, 401(k), PTO and holidays.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Personal Injury Case Manager or Prelitigation Paralegal preferred.
• At least 2 years in a legal position or insurance adjuster experience preferred.
• Team player who follows procedures and communicates proactively.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage workload with minimal supervision.
• Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong writing and communication skills with attention to detail.
• Typing speed of at least 35 wpm; proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Remote and/or hybrid not eligible.

Responsibilities

• Daily interaction with existing and potential clients via telephone and in person.
• Order medical records from providers and communicate with clients and providers during treatment.
• Obtain documents to support injury and liability positions.
• Interact with insurance carriers and healthcare providers to secure records and balances.
• Work with multiple coworkers involved in case management and support.
• Maintain organized case files.
• Prepare comprehensive demands and submissions to carriers under attorney supervision.
• Interact with attorneys and present case synopsis when required.
• Manage case files from intake to closing under attorney direction.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
