Job summary

Baker Tilly US is seeking a Payroll Specialist to provide direct payroll consulting to clients and maintain expertise in payroll practices and laws. You will manage client relationships with supervision and escalate issues when needed to ensure accurate, timely payroll processing.

Responsibilities include processing payrolls, updating records, generating earnings and tax reports, and supporting implementation projects. Strong communication and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree preferred or 2 years experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience with ADP software platforms desirable.
• Working knowledge of Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Highly detail oriented and focused on accuracy.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Ability to effectively work in a deadline driven environment serving multiple clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and consulting to payroll clients.
• Understand payroll deeply; stay current on payroll laws to aid clients.
• Manage client relationships independently; escalate issues when needed.
• Process payrolls timely; update employee records and compute bonuses or severance.
• Prepare reports of earnings, taxes, deductions, and employer contributions.
• Build trusted client relationships and maintain data confidentiality.
• Support implementation projects; train clients on payroll processes.
• Share knowledge with team and contribute to ongoing learning.
