Job summary

Baker Tilly US is seeking a Payroll Support Specialist to provide direct support and consulting to our payroll clients. Under the supervision of the Payroll Supervisor, you will independently manage client relationships while escalating issues when needed.

Responsibilities include ensuring payroll data accuracy, processing payrolls on time, preparing earnings/tax reports, and maintaining confidentiality. You will support implementation and train clients on payroll processes as necessary.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree preferred or 2 years experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience with ADP software platforms desirable.
• Working knowledge of Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Highly detail oriented and focused on accuracy.
• Strong organization and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure client payroll data is accurate and reconciled within their payroll system.
• Review and/or process payrolls in a timely manner to meet client deadlines; update records and calculate bonuses or severance.
• Prepare reports of employee earnings, taxes, deductions and employer contributions.
• Establish strong client relationships; maintain confidentiality and communicate clearly in writing and speaking.
• Provide technical software support to clients and identify opportunities to expand services.
• Manage client implementations, ensuring timely completion and client satisfaction; train clients on payroll processes.
• Be a resource to new hires; share knowledge and maintain product knowledge on ADP platforms.
