Job summary

Baker Tilly US is seeking a Payroll Support professional to provide direct payroll client support and consulting, leveraging deep payroll knowledge to advise clients on laws and practices. Under supervision, you will independently manage client relationships, escalating issues when needed.

Responsibilities include ensuring data accuracy, processing payrolls on deadlines, preparing earnings and tax reports, and offering technical software support.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree preferred or 2 years experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience with ADP software platforms desirable.
• Working knowledge of Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Highly detail oriented and focused on accuracy.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Strong adaptability and multi-tasking skills.
• Ability to effectively work in a deadline driven environment serving multiple clients.
• Ability to provide exceptional client service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; appropriately and professionally communicates with all levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and consulting to payroll clients.
• Understand payroll deeply and maintain knowledge of payroll practices and laws.
• Independently manage client relationships under supervision, escalating issues when needed.
• Ensure client payroll information is accurate within their payroll system.
• Review and process payrolls to meet client deadlines, update records, and reconcile payroll deposits and withholdings.
• Prepare reports of earnings, taxes, deductions, and employer contributions.
