GE Vernova in Salem, VA is seeking an Order Management Specialist to support a fast-paced, customer-facing environment. You will handle order entry, reporting, and coordination with sourcing, logistics, and warehouse teams to ensure accurate order fulfillment.

The role emphasizes strong communication, attention to detail, and timely issue resolution. Hybrid work is offered, with starting pay of $20 to $22 per hour and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Customer communication skills via written, in person and phone.
• Customer service background.
• High School Diploma.
• Critical thinking and ability to solve problems.
• Establish personal credibility and strong communication.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel; familiarity with Access.
• Interpersonal skills to interact with internal and external departments.

Responsibilities

• Order Entry & Order Acknowledgment
• Provide Open Orders Reports weekly to customers
• Attend meetings regarding orders for assigned customer base
• Update orders per amendments / internal requests
• Request Final Pricing from customer & report to Logistics
• Advise customers of changes (Promise dates, Schedule delays, quality issues)
• Order entry in SAP (POs, PO amendments, email communications)
• Case Management & tagging (Sales Force)
• Provide Quotes
• Flexible to other tasks as priorities shift
• Responsible for good documentation practices
