Job summary

West Capital Lending, Inc. is seeking a motivated Loan Officer to guide clients through the loan process, evaluate financial backgrounds, and match suitable loan products. You will work to ensure regulatory compliance and deliver excellent service throughout the application lifecycle.

The role involves assessing creditworthiness, advising on terms, processing applications, and collaborating with underwriters to close loans while meeting sales goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Loan Officer or in a similar financial services role.
• Proficient in loan products, underwriting processes, and applicable regulations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with clients.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other loan processing software.
• NMLS license is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess loan applications and determine creditworthiness by reviewing financial documents, credit reports, and other information.
• Provide guidance on loan products, terms, and eligibility requirements.
• Process loan applications, obtain documentation, verify data, and ensure forms are completed accurately.
• Establish and maintain strong client relationships and deliver excellent customer service.
• Explain loan options, repayment terms, and risks to clients clearly.
• Collaborate with underwriters, processors, and team members to ensure smooth approval.
• Maintain knowledge of industry regulations, loan policies, and market trends.
• Monitor progression of loan applications and assist clients with questions.
