Job summary

West Capital Lending is seeking a customer-focused Loan Officer to assist clients with the loan application process and evaluate financial backgrounds. You will provide guidance on available loan products, terms, and eligibility, and ensure accurate documentation.

You will collaborate with underwriters, processors and team members to maintain a smooth loan approval process while meeting regulatory standards and sales goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as a Loan Officer or in a similar financial services role.
• Knowledge of loan products, underwriting processes and applicable regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build client relationships.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Ability to assess financial documents and analyze creditworthiness.
• Proficient in MS Office and loan processing software.
• NMLS license is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess loan applications and determine creditworthiness by reviewing financial documents and credit reports.
• Provide expert guidance on loan products, terms and eligibility requirements.
• Process loan applications, obtain documentation, verify data and complete forms.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships with excellent service.
• Collaborate with underwriters and processors to ensure smooth approvals.
• Stay current on regulations, policies and market trends and monitor application progress.
