Job summary

Truist Financial Corporation seeks a Universal Banker in Norfolk, VA to provide exceptional client service, handle transactions, and educate customers on digital banking options. You will support sales through outreach and refer clients to branch teams while complying with policies and procedures.

The role requires weekend/extended hours as needed and travel to accommodate staffing. Base salary and benefits are provided to eligible teammates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years teller, cash handling, or client service experience.
• Six months of client relationship building or sales experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to master PC keyboard and software for branch automation.
• Ability to multi-task under time constraints.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to travel for temporary staffing needs and shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide a distinctive client experience and handle complex and standardized transactions.
• Educate clients on digital, self-service solutions (ATMs, Online, Mobile banking).
• Support sales by outbound outreach, check offers, and refer clients to branches or specialists.
• Understand Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) to deliver Truist expertise.
• Participate in Retail Community Bank Leadership routines.
• Advance product knowledge through trainings and meetings.
• Adhere to controls, procedures, and risk management policies; stay updated on changes.
• Serve as secondary contact for new accounts and problem resolution, handling workload as branch demands.
