Job summary

Truist in Virginia Beach is seeking a proactive Universal Banker to deliver timely client service and accurate transaction processing. You will engage clients, educate them on digital banking, and support outbound outreach and IRM activities.

This role emphasizes relationship-building, cross-training across sales and service, and adherence to internal controls. Regular shifts, benefits, and incentive pay are part of the package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education required.
• Two years teller or cash handling or client service experience.
• Six months client relationship building or sales experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and desire to interact with clients.
• Ability to master PC keyboard and software for branch automation.
• Ability to multi-task under time constraints.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide distinctive client experience and handle complex and standard transactions.
• Educate clients on digital and self-service banking options.
• Support sales by outbound client outreach and opportunity identification.
• Understand Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) and deliver Truist solutions.
• Participate in Retail Community Bank routines and training.
• Maintain knowledge of policies, procedures, and risk controls.
• Serve as secondary contact for new account openings and issue resolution.
