Job summary

Truist in Petersburg, VA is seeking an Universal Banker to provide timely, accurate client transactions and superior service while identifying financial needs. You will cross-train to support sales and IRM activities, promoting digital banking and handling complex transactions with guidance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• Two years of teller or cash handling or client service experience.
• Six months of client relationship building or sales experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a desire to interact with clients and prospects.
• Ability to master personal computer (PC) keyboard and software skills necessary for branch automation.
• Ability to multi-task under time constraints.
• Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products.
• Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs as required to include temporary assignment or locale changes.
• Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours with occasional travel and overnights may be included.

Responsibilities

• Provide a distinctive client experience by engaging clients and performing transactions with accuracy.
• Educate clients on digital and self-service banking options to enhance their service experience.
• Support sales through outbound calls and by identifying client needs or opportunities.
• Understand Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) to deliver Truist expertise and solutions.
• Participate in all components of Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership routines.
• Advance product knowledge through meetings and training sessions.
• Adhere to internal controls and risk management policies and stay informed on policy changes.
• Serve as secondary contact for new account openings and issue resolution.
