Job summary

Truist Financial Corporation is seeking a Part Time Universal Banker in Portsmouth, VA. You’ll provide timely client service, handle transactions, and guide customers through digital banking tools. The role supports outbound calls and IRM initiatives, with flexibility for weekend hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• Two years of teller or cash handling or client service experience.
• Six months of client relationship building or sales experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a desire to interact with clients and prospects.
• Ability to master PC keyboard and software skills for branch automation.
• Ability to multi-task under time constraints.
• Proficient in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs and locale changes.
• Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours with occasional travel and overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Provide a distinctive client experience, conducting transactions and uncovering client needs.
• Educate clients on digital banking solutions to enhance service experience.
• Support sales by outbound client outreach and referrals to branch teams.
• Understand Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) to deliver Truist expertise.
• Participate in Retail Community Bank Leadership routines.
• Attend training to advance product knowledge for consumer and business clients.
• Adhere to internal controls and risk management policies.
• Serve as secondary contact for new account openings and problem resolution, handling workload as branch demands.
