Job summary

Columbia Bank is seeking a Teller to serve as the first point of contact for clients at the Morro Street location in San Luis Obispo, CA. The role emphasizes accurate, ethical banking and adherence to Breakthrough Client Service Standards.

You will perform deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and other teller duties onsite, maintain cash drawer integrity, and deepen client relationships by identifying financial needs and offering relevant products.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of previous banking or customer service experience preferred.
• Bilingual ability is preferred.
• Ability to learn and comply with all bank policies, procedures, and systems.
• Demonstrates attention to detail and accuracy with numbers and written instructions.
• Comfort in building relationships with clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Perform teller transactions and cash handling for clients with accuracy and confidentiality (deposits, withdrawals, transfers, check cashing, etc.).
• Balance cash drawer daily and maintain ATM/cash handling integrity.
• Mitigate risk by safeguarding money and ensuring proper fund transfers.
• Interact with clients to understand needs and propose suitable products and services.
• Refer basic bank products to appropriate business partners and support branch goals.
