Job summary

Columbia Bank in Redding, CA is seeking a Teller to serve as the first point of contact for clients. You will perform teller transactions, balance cash drawer, and promote bank products while following Breakthrough Client Service Standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of banking or customer service experience preferred.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Ability to learn and comply with Bank policies, procedures, and systems.
• Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail with numbers and written instructions.
• Ability to build relationships with clients and bank associates.

Responsibilities

• Always performs teller transactions and cash handling for clients with accuracy and confidentiality (deposits, withdrawals, transfers, etc.).
• Balance cash drawer and support related daily tasks to maintain branch integrity.
• Mitigate risk by safeguarding money in cash drawer and prompt accounting of funds.
• Interact with clients, anticipate needs, and offer proactive solutions per service standards.
• Continuously deepen knowledge of Columbia Bank's products and services and stay current on changes.
• Discuss customer financial needs to identify and offer appropriate products and services.
• Support branch referral goals by identifying and referring basic products to the right partner.
