Job summary

Columbia Bank is seeking a Teller to be the first point of contact for clients in the San Pedro, CA area. You will perform transactions accurately, maintain cash drawers, and build relationships by uncovering client needs and offering suitable banking solutions.

Under guidance from Branch leadership, you will help ensure compliance with bank procedures and regulations while promoting Breakthrough Client Service Standards. This onsite role includes benefits and a competitive pay range.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of previous banking or customer service experience preferred.
• Bilingual abilities are preferred.
• Ability to learn and comply with bank policies, procedures, and systems.
• Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail in numeric and written work.
• Ability and willingness to build relationships with clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Perform teller transactions and cash handling for clients with accuracy and confidentiality (deposits, withdrawals, transfers, etc.).
• Balance cash drawer and support daily branch operations; ensure security and accurate accounting.
• Mitigate risk by safeguarding cash and funds; handle ATM and night drop processes as applicable.
• Engage with clients to understand needs and offer appropriate bank products and services.
• Stay informed on Columbia Bank products and services to cross-sell when appropriate.
• Support branch referral goals by identifying and referring opportunities to the right partners.
