Job summary

Cognex Corporation is seeking a Project Manager with external customer-facing experience to drive projects that integrate Cognex designed solutions. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage risks, and ensure on-time delivery with high quality and profitability.

The role requires planning, strong communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment across pre- and post-sale phases. Travel and on-call work may be required.

Qualifications

• BA degree in a technical discipline or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years as a project manager in the service high-tech industry or related field.
• On-call availability and ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Travel 20–50% depending on region and project needs.
• English language proficiency required for the role.
• PM certifications such as PMP or CSCP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Actively plan, organize, and align internal and external resources to meet the project schedule.
• Maintain and develop effective relationships with customers pre- and post-sale.
• Develop project schedules and track progress against milestones with timely stakeholder communications.
• Define scope changes and communicate them to all key stakeholders to achieve customer acceptance.
• Manage all project documentation throughout the lifecycle and ensure proper handoff to service or customer teams.
