Job summary

Cognex Corporation is seeking a Project Manager with external customer facing experience to lead projects integrating Cognex designed solutions. You will engage in pre-sales activities, assess risks, and ensure delivery quality, schedule adherence, and profitability in a fast-paced culture.

Responsibilities include planning resources, maintaining customer relationships, and managing documentation and milestones across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• BA degree in a technical discipline or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of experience as a project manager within the high-tech services industry or related field.
• Ability to be on-call and respond to customer emergencies; travel 20-50%.
• English language proficiency required for the role.
• PM certifications preferred (PMP, CSCP, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Actively plan, organize, and align resources, both internal and external, in a cost-effective manner to win and execute against the project schedule.
• Maintain and develop effective relationship with customers both pre- and post-sale.
• Develop project schedules and track project progress against milestones while ensuring timely communications to internal and external stakeholders on project status.
• Identify, create simple, and track complex documented scope; communicate scope changes to all key stakeholders to ensure project completion and customer acceptance.
• Manage all project documentation through the lifecycle including providing all details on documentation to either the service team or customer to set them up for success.
