Job summary

Cognex is seeking a Project Manager with external customer facing experience who will flourish in our "Work Hard, Play Hard, Move Fast" culture. You will engage in pre-sales activities, assess risks, and deliver on quality, scope, and profitability targets.

You'll coordinate internal and external resources, develop schedules, manage scope changes, and maintain documentation while communicating status to stakeholders. Travel up to 50% is expected; PMP or CSCP is a plus.

Qualifications

• BA degree in a technical discipline or relevant equivalent professional experience.
• Typically 3+ years' experience as a project manager in high-tech services or related field.
• Ability to travel 20–50% of the time.
• English language proficiency required; PM certifications preferred (PMP, CSCP).

Responsibilities

• Actively plan, organize, and align resources to meet project schedules.
• Maintain relationships with customers pre- and post-sale.
• Develop project schedules and track progress against milestones; communicate status to stakeholders.
• Identify scope changes and ensure customer acceptance across providers.
• Manage all project documentation through the lifecycle and hand off to service or customer teams.
