Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to collaborate with customers on data & AI challenges using the Databricks platform. You will own architecture, lead design decisions, and implement end-to-end systems spanning data engineering, AI, and application development.

This role is hands-on, client-facing and requires delivering production-grade solutions with strong customer empathy. You will work across engineering, product, and customer success to ensure scalable, secure

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms or software engineering.
• Proficient in Python, Scala or JavaScript/TypeScript with modern frameworks.
• Working knowledge of two or more cloud ecosystems (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark and Spark internals.
• Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments.
• Knowledge of ML/AI models, ML pipelines, and AI APIs.

Responsibilities

• Lead production-grade solution delivery including reference architectures and data ingestion.
• Oversee end-to-end design, build and deployment of data and AI applications for transformational impact.
• Coach and guide customers to adopt Databricks architectures and best practices.
• Own architecture decisions to ensure secure, scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and customer teams to deliver engagements.
