Job summary

Acrisure Re in New York seeks a VP, Actuarial to lead actuarial efforts for reinsurance across property, casualty, and specialty lines. You will guide analytics, manage staff, and partner with clients and brokers to support lifecycle decisions.

The role requires deep technical expertise, ongoing development of models, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams to deliver strategic insights and value to clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related STEM field.
• 7+ years actuarial experience in a reinsurance pricing capacity.
• FCAS or near-FCAS designation, with active progression toward FCAS strongly preferred.
• Active Continuing Education requirements.
• Proficiency with pricing and reserving methodologies for (re)insurance.
• Proficiency with catastrophe models (RMS, AIR, KatRisk, etc.).
• Strong Excel skills and Office familiarity.
• Experience with AI/LLM tools to support analysis and documentation.
• Ability to lead and mentor junior staff; manage projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Perform pricing analyses for proportional, excess of loss, and structured reinsurance deals using actuarially sound assumptions.
• Develop and review dynamic stochastic models and conduct reinsurance analyses to compare strategies.
• Communicate results and complex concepts to clients, brokers, and reinsurers.
• Support brokers in submissions, pricing, structuring, and placing reinsurance.
• Respond to technical client queries and advise on data and trends.
