Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Forward Deployed AI Architect to embed with client business and engineering teams, designing AI-native, enterprise AI and applied AI solutions and taking them from pilot to production. You will operate at the architecture level, own trade-offs, and sit at the client's table to ensure delivery aligns with business goals.

The role rewards ownership, comfort with ambiguity, and measurable impact in production.

Qualifications

• Experience taking AI-native or enterprise AI systems to production at client sites.
• Proven ability to frame problems for non-technologists and present options with costs/risks.
• Strong architecture experience with delivery accountability on shipped systems.
• Depth in integration, distributed systems, cloud and data-flow architecture at enterprise scale.
• Recent hands-on coding ability to prototype and validate constraints.

Responsibilities

• Embed with client accounts, working with business owners and engineering to take AI solutions from pilot to production.
• Design end-to-end AI-native architectures including orchestration, retrieval, and system integrations.
• Own measurable artifacts: capability economics model, trust-evidence for agents, and a knowledge-graph slice of the client domain.
• Turn incomplete requirements into explicit business decisions with named owners.
• Determine which components can be AI-driven and where humans stay in the loop.
• Define evaluation criteria to show alignment with business scope, not only fluent output.
• Build proofs of concept and reference implementations when needed.
• Share learnings with EPAM's AI architecture practice.
