Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking an AI Architect to design enterprise-scale AI-native architectures, shaping governance, guardrails, and integration with systems of record. You decide what the system should do and what it should not, framing problems and trade-offs for engineering teams.

The role emphasizes architecture decisions, collaboration with delivery teams and presales, prototyping when needed, and mentoring others.

Qualifications

Experience designing AI-native systems in production, including RAG, agents, or agentic workflows.
Proven solution or software architecture with AI-focused work in the last year.
Strong track record delivering scalable enterprise architectures.
Ability to trade off requirements and communicate decisions to non-technical audiences.
Hands-on coding ability to prototype and validate architectural ideas.

Responsibilities

Design end-to-end architectures for AI-native solutions, including orchestration and guardrails.
Explain trade-offs, costs, and scope to clients and internal stakeholders.
Lead proposals in presales and review designs across teams.
Develop reference architectures and reusable patterns for the practice.
